The holiday that suits your lifestyle

Vendee 2

It’s fair to say we’ve all had those holidays where we over indulge a bit too much, and come home with a little more weight than when we left, but staying on track couldn’t be easier with Votre Vacances.

Looking to eat better? We’ve got you covered.

All our Summer Chalets come with fully equipped kitchens, and charcoal BBQs, and means you decide what and when to eat, so you can stay in control.

The Vendee has its own Mediterranean micro-climate, so expect fresh seafood, large salads, and a wealth of fresh fruit and vegetables. There’s no better place to source these fresh ingredients than in any one of the local markets.

Don’t fancy cooking? Don’t worry, Chateau La Foret has its own restaurant and pizzeria serving local and traditional dishes. There’s also a whole host of restaurants in the neighbouring towns that cater to all tastes.

Wanting to be more active or try a new sport? The Vendee is renowned for its water based sports, including sailing, surfing and canoeing.

The local town of Les Sables d’ Olonne, home of the yacht race, The Vendee Globe, has a plethora of international sailing and surfing schools.

Canoeing is easily accessible thanks to the salt marshes that are present throughout the region too.

Let’s not forget that located at the Chateau are two swimming pools, ideal for keeping fit whilst on holiday. The resort also runs daily fitness classes including aqua- aerobics.

Not a fan of getting wet, but still seeking adventure? Chateau la Foret is home to one of the most extensive activity centres in the Vendee.

There is something for all age groups including tree top adventure course, with zip wires across the fishing lake and assault courses through the trees, as well as a paintballing arena, and pony trekking through the forest.

Looking for something a little more relaxing? Why not take a stroll along the golden sands of the Vendee?

With over 90 miles of sandy coastline, we’re sure you’ll be able to find somewhere to take in the sea air.

Similarly, the Vendee is renowned for its cycle routes, and with over 600 miles of cycle tracks, on a mainly flat terrain combining salt marshes, forests and coastline, there is no better way to see the Vendee.

Enjoy the tranquillity of fishing? The Chateau features a large fishing lake. Perfect for whiling a-way a few hours whilst overlooking the forest and Chateau.

And, if after all that activity, and healthy eating you’re exhausted, then why not treat yourself to a massage at the on-site hammam…. You know where to find me!  xx
