Chateau la Foret
Chateau La Foret is a 4-star campsite set in the grounds of an incredible 18th century chateau in the heart of the Vendee, France. It’s been a family home for over 200 years and, three decades ago, it became a family business too – a holiday destination with a rare dose of historic French grandeur.

Why did you choose Chateau La Foret as the home of Votre Vacances?
We chose the 4-star campsite, Chateau La Foret for a number of reasons. As soon as we entered the village of Saint Julien des Landes, and turned in to the drive of Chateau La Foret we fell under its spell.
We love that the restaurant, bar and children’s play areas are all centrally located in the original stables and courtyard of the campsite – in French, known as the Coeur – or heart!
